another busy weekend

Friday was busier than expected. I met with the Heathers from Forget Me Not at 10:30am. Our meeting lasted 2 hours. Since we all have girls the same age, they played while we talked. Heather Roberts had to leave and Heather Evans and I had other things to work on so we went to her house and let the girls play some more...5pm rolled around and I HAD to leave. We got a lot accomplished, but have so much more to work on. If the Forget Me Not program wants to move forward and grow, we had to get some things worked out, especially now that there are more photographers.
That night we went to Matts 20 year reunion with friends from church, which consisted of 3 high schools. He had his 20 year high school reunion last month, but we didn't go. Why do to something if you already keep in touch with the people you want to anyway? Since the other 2 high schools had their reunions this weekend, it was planned around that. It was fun to hear all the stories, most of them centered around driving Matt's VW bug, getting pulled over by the cops numerous times for different reasons and lots of pranks. Lots of laughs that night.
Saturday we went to Skyfest at Fairchild Airforce Base. We had so much fun, and though it was hot, the wind helped keep us somewhat cool.
Brinley forgot her sunglasses, so she wore Matt's around. We walked through a few planes, but there were so many things to see. We only saw about 1/3 of the tarmack. We ran into our friends, the Conrads, and Julie and Merv, then waited for the Blue Angels...
what are dad's shoulders for? to hang out and chat with each other. and then the kids were like this while we watched the planes. It got pretty loud. Brinley covered her ears, but forgot that she had a cup in her hand. We found out there was 100,000 people on base, so you can imagine what it was like trying to get out of there. It took is an hour just to get off base, Julie and Merv...2 hours.
We got home and I crashed for a few hours. All that walking wore me out.
Sunday we went to church and then hung out at my parents house, ate dinner and did nothing. It was nice. I needed a break. My mom makes the BEST mashed potatoes...I have been craving them all week...and roast, well, she just makes good food. YUM!

That picture of the girls chatting while going for a ride on their dad's shoulders is ADORABLE! Your sweet Brinley is such a pretty little girl Arah, what are you going to do with her? She's gonna have boys chasing her by the time she's 8!!!

I wish that I had the energy to do these fun things. I had wanted to take Bug to "KIDS DAY" down at Riverfront Park this weekend, but I just didn't have any energy to do more than take a shower Saturday. :(
I feel like I did attend the Air Show Event through your pictures. Thanks for posting them.

Looks like you had a good time at the Air Show. We were going to go this weekend, but I wasn't feeling to well so we ended up staying home. We did however get to see the new Mummie movie. It wasn't too bad.

I skipped out on my 10 yr HS reunion... It just didn't seem like had been long enough to see anyone I am not already still in contact with. Most of us were together from Kindergarten until grauation...much too long! The small town rumor mill is still running strong and I knew enough about my peers that I didn't feel like I was missing out... Apparently a majority of the class felt the same way because only 15 showed up out of over 100- LOL! Maybe the 20 yr...we'll see. I am glad you had fun at your hubby's! I am sure Tim will drag me to his in a couple of years!

Sounds like it wasn't so bad that we left the airshow early! I was bummed I didn't get to see everything, but the kids were wiped out! Next year hopefully Brandon won't have to work and I'll have someone to go along and help. Glad you guys had fun! (It looks like Brinley was as enthused as my boys--I was by far the most excited. Somehow the theme from Top Gun kept running through my head!)

I know I've said it before, but I will say it again...I love your pictures! I wish I lived near you so that I could hire you. You have such a beautiful family.

The air show would have been fun! We went camping all weekend. There's always next year.
Brinley looks so cute with cup over her ear.

Are you going to the moms group at Millwood on Thursday? Lori Gardner was thinking of going.
