blanket for Sarah

Now that we know what we are having, you would think I would be all over going shopping for her. Especially since I don't have any baby things in the house, except for a bumbo...I don't even have a crib. I have found lots of cute things, but just not in the mood to buy any of them. However, I found this... on Etsy and bought it to make a blanket for Sarah. I am way excited to get it and start on a quilt similar to this with a little of this and some of this. I am really hoping that it turns out the way i picture it in my head. Brinley is going to be helping me...some. I am not sure how long her attention span will last...or my patience for that matter.

YES! I love it! I just want to sit and watch you make it! Who taught you to quilt? Love the name Sarah. How sweet is that?

ADORABLE!!! I am looking for that cute kind of fabric with big prints for my living room. If I were to EVER have a girl I would totally go for something like that. You make me want to make things...I haven't made any of my kids a blanket or quilt, because they get so many from other people and because none of them have been attached at all to their blankets. Maybe they would be if MOM made one. SO CUTE ARAH!

Darla-
I learned to sew in 6th grade. I LOVED it! My mom helped me make a few things and I helped Grandma Dot with a quilt that I have no idea what happened to. It was appliqued with little girls wearing bonnets. It never got finished. Then I just started to find patterns I liked and began making quilt and stuff. I get a little help from my mom if i get stuck, but i can usually figure out what i didi and fix it.
Megan- I LOVE Heather Bailey prints, along with Amy Butler and Joel Dewberry. I can't afford to buy them very often though, they can get expensive!

I love this fabric. I think it's going to turn out great! Let me know if want any help..not that you need it. :) If you're up to it, Girls' Night Out at the quilt shop up here this month is on the 11th and 25th. 6-12am, potluck, open sew. I have been wanting to go for a while, I have lots to work on for sure! And if you didn't want to drive all the way home you could camp out at my house after. Just let me know if you ever wanna go. It would be fun :) It was good seeing you the other day. Brinley was cracking me up.
