I was going through pictures of the day Olivia was born. I came across a few that showed how tiny she actually was. I have noticed in that most of the pictures taken, she looks like a normal sized baby.
Please note that most of these pictures are from after she passed, so her color may be a little purple. She also has club feet and little muscle tone in her legs.
Very very cute. She looks even smaller next to matt. I am so glad you are posting pictures of her. I have been wondering. Was it easier to deliver her since she was so small? I mean did it hurt as bad? You don't have to answer if you dont want but I was just wondering. Love ya
Well Betsie, Brinley wasn't exactly a big baby(6lbs. 6oz.) I didn't feel any contractions with Brinley...my water broke, I went to the hospital, they gave me sleeping pills, then in the morning they gave me pitosin, then stadol, which knocked me out...I snored and went to the circus...then an epidural and felt no pain. With Olivia, the labor was a total of 4 hours. She came fast and I almost delivered her in the hallway of the maternity ward. However, painful...YES! very!, but quick and i would do another delivery and recovery like Olivia's over Brinley's anyday! I tore pretty bad with Brinley and I didn't with olivia, probably because she was so small. The pain wasn't the type of pain i was expecting and if i knew what to expect, we would have been to the hospital sooner. You get past the pain and i think that I would try another delivery without meds...we'll see. Hope that answered your questions, I am always happy to answer anything you ask. Love ya, Bets!
Thanks for answering. I don't think I will ever deliver without meds. I did pretty well with Josiah but I didn't want to feel the pain. I am pretty sure they will make me have a c-section with these two with I am not looking forward to at all. Love ya
I love these pics Arah...it takes me back-but with fond memories, rather than sad/bad ones. She was really small! It's hard to comprehend how small newborns are-especially with you have another child at home. (I agree with you-having a baby with NO Meds hurts a lot, but is SO much easier/better to recover from!! I wish I had had ALL of mine that way-not just Preston!)
Thanks so much for sharing your sweet baby with us. I am amazed at how small she looks next to you. In the pictures of just her, she fills the screen. What a great perspective.
