chubby cheeks

My appointment wasn't too eventful. I got some good news and bad news, but first, here is chubby cheeks: with pouty lips (that is the umbilical cord by her lips)
She was trying to chew on the cord, it was pretty funny to watch.
she is a little acrobat, and likes her foot by her head.
So the good news is...she finally turned and is now head down. We expect her to stay that way.
The bad news...my amniotic fluid #'s are a little high (it's either feast of famine with me) and they think I might have borderline gestational diabetes. I will be hearing about it on Monday. Luckily, I don't have much longer to wait till this pumpkin is born.

That sucks. Im glad you only have a little longer. If it makes you feel any better I had Polyhydraminos(upper amounts of fluid) with ALL my pregnancies. Especially the girls. They couldn't believe how much fluid came out when I had the girls. I hope you are doing well. Those pictures look and remind me of my girls ultrasound pictures. Must be in the same family. love ya

WOOHOO!!! I am so glad to hear that she turned!!! Are they making any guesses on her size yet? I have a ton of tips on how to deal with gestational diabeties. By the time I had Katie I got pretty good at avoiding insulin shots.
I am sure it will all work out. You will have your beautiful baby girl soon. I love looking at your u/s pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

Those pictures are so cool! It's amazing the technology they have these days isn't it? So what does it mean when you have high amniotic fluid?

DeAnne-
nothing usually, but my 3 hour glucose test came back with the 1st hour being a little high, but the others were fine. They weren't concerned about it. Because of that and the fluids being high, they get a little concerned.

Man of man, does she ever look like Brinley? How darling. So wish we could be close by when she is born. Ugh! Just know we love you and are praying all will be well.

I had GD with Cassie and especially if you are borderline, it will be easily controlled with diet. Maybe I'm strange but I really didn't think it was that bad.

It's not hard to control the GD. I don't know if they will send you to the class or not, but usually watch your carbs, mini meals and get 30 minutes of exercise a day. It worked for me. Sarah Mae is a cutie. Before you know it she will be in your arms. Hang in there girl : )

I can't believe the picture quality of your ultrasound pic's! I had my babies too early- that's so COOL! Bummer about the amniotic fluid/gestational diabetes possibility... But you're right, little Sarah Mae will be here soon!!!

That's the best news! It's always good when they come out the right way:) As for the gestational diabetes, I was borderline with all my kids. I had to just cut down on the sweets and starches. More veggies, fruits and whole grains.
I hope it all goes well! She sure is a cutie!!

That's so cool that you got to watch Sarah Mae with such clarity. How neat! I'm so glad that things are going so well.
