coupons.

I am one to use coupons here and there.
I like a good deal.
My niece, Betsie, is a coupon nut. She gets things for next to nothing, and sometimes less than nothing. I've been wanting to learn this extreme coupon shopping, but have been a little overwhelmed. I have a friend that we go to church with that took me shopping with her today.
Betsie, you would be proud. I spent $16.79 and saved $31.75. i didn't think that was too bad for my first shopping trip. However, starting on the 31st, our Albertson's won't be taking competitor coupons, which means that I will have to drive a little farther for a good deal. The best deal I got, 4 bags of lays/doritos for .83 cents a bag. not too bad.

That is the way to start - just a bit at a time. I will call you one of these days and tell you some secrets that I have learned. Watch out though, it really becomes and addiction - a good addiction, but an addiction nonetheless...

GREAT JOB!! As you have seen on my blog this has become a new habit of mine..leaving the store with spending very little. I am happy to put you on my email list of my deal finds if you would like. On Saturday I went to Walgreens and spent a total of $1.92 on 8 jars of Skippy and also got a $10.00 off my next purchase.
You are off to a great start. On Wednesdays at 1:00 I have a playdate and while the kids are playing we have a coupon exchange. You are welcome to come anytime. I am also happy to show you how I keep them organized.
